It all started with our 100 year old family recipe
Today we continue the legacy by hand-making the recipe daily using fresh all-natural ingredients, real key lime juice, and a handmade graham cracker crust.

Our Story
We make every part of our Key Lime Pie right here in Key West, producing one of the few items exported from the Keys, aside from seafood. While we have the word pie in our name, our recipe is very different from most. It’s not baked, and it’s eggless. Instead, it’s an icebox pie, much like an ice cream cake. We use a graham cracker crust, 100% pure Key Lime Juice in the filling, and whip our heavy cream with real vanilla every day. All of our items are crafted by hand and made with love.
Our recipe is based on a 100+ year-old family tradition that originated right here in Key West.
The business started in the 1980s and has changed hands only three times over the past 40-plus years. The Rowe family launched this company as one of the original Conch Key Lime Pie businesses. They were well-loved and known throughout the island—especially for delivering Key Lime Pies via bike to locals and visitors. They were the founders of our recipe and the reason it’s made the way it is today. Though they were unable to continue the business, we know they’re proud to see that their dream has lived on.
In the 2000s, Jim Brush took over the company and brought it into a new light. He was the owner who won the National Pie Championship four years in a row, opened two new locations, and began wholesaling pies up the Keys and across several states. Jim even started shipping Key Lime Pies to customers all over the continental U.S. through our online store. Our pies were featured during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, and we set the Guinness World Record for the Largest Key Lime Pie in history. Jim was also one of the founders of the Key Lime Pie Festival, which still runs every year during the first week of July right here in Key West.
Our company has been featured on numerous TV shows and channels, including ABC America, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, FOX Nation, Island Living, The Profit, and many more. People were drawn to the pie, but despite the company’s incredible achievements, it was still struggling to grow and sustain itself. In 2013, Jim reached out to CNBC’s The Profit with Marcus Lemonis, a TV show that helps small businesses overcome challenges and keep their doors open.
Marcus quickly got to work, becoming a 51% owner and investing over $300,000 in renovations. He took the company, valued at $1.2 million, and helped it become profitable by implementing changes in appearance, sales strategy, and management. Though Jim and Marcus didn’t always see eye to eye and often butted heads, Marcus eventually bought the entire business from Jim and continued running it with the help of his team. He invested his time, expertise, and network to grow the business, guiding it through literal hurricanes and the COVID-19 pandemic—both of which devastated many small businesses in the Keys.
Now, 10 years later, Marcus has passed the business on to its employees. Stephanie and Katie, who have both been with the company for years, are the new owners. Although they feel like they’re just getting started, they bring with them the knowledge gained from the company’s many highs and lows over the years. Together, they are here to bring you a Key Lime Pie experience decades in the making.
